User Group Registration and Attendance


Risk Adjustment Policy and Operations User Group: 2027 Rate Announcement May 7, 2026, 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. ET.

CMS will present a review of the risk adjustment policies finalized in the Announcement of Calendar Year (CY) 2027 Medicare Advantage (MA) Capitation Rates and Part C and Part D Payment Policies released on April 6, 2026. We will highlight policy changes and demonstrate risk score calculations for payment year 2027. In addition, CMS will review relevant HPMS memos and host a question-and-answer session.

If you choose to register for this event, please use a professional email address and enter a contract number for your organization that is active for calendar year 2025 or 2026. Failing to register with this information could result in your registration request being denied.

We welcome questions in advance regarding risk adjustment related topics in the CY 2027 Rate Announcement. Please submit questions to RiskAdjustmentPolicy@cms.hhs.gov by May 1, 2026 and specify “2027 Rate Announcement User Group” in the email subject line.

User Group Registration and Participation

Periodically, CMS hosts a Risk Adjustment Policy and Operations User Group with a Q&A session at the end. When a user group is scheduled, CMS will send an HPMS email with the topic of the user group and a registration link.

These user groups require registration and approval by CMS. If you should choose to register for a user group, be sure to include your contract number (usually a letter followed by 4 numbers) and your email address associated with that contract number.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Attendees must be from an organization such as the following and have a valid contract number for the current or prior year:

  • Medicare Advantage (MA) organizations
  • Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organizations
  • Cost Plans
  • Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs)
  • Third Party Submitters supporting MAOs

REGISTRATION

How do I register?

Before you register, you will need a valid contract number (this is usually a letter followed by 4 numbers) and the email address you use for all organization correspondence. WARNING: Registration with personal email addresses will be denied.

Registration steps:

1. Go to the registration link provided in the HPMS email announcing the user group.

2. Complete the form. Please make sure to enter a valid contract number for your organization. This ensures we have all the information necessary to make registration     determinations. Also, please double-check your email address and company name are spelled correctly.

3. Click on “Register.”

4. Please note that all registrations need to be approved by CMS. Registrants will subsequently receive an approval email from no-reply@zoomgov.com. Please add no-             reply@zoomgov.com to your contacts to prevent notification emails from getting caught by spam filters.

What if I have questions about registration?

If you still have questions, please direct registration questions to the email address indicated in the HPMS email, either RiskAdjustmentPolicy@cms.hhs.gov or Risk AdjustmentOperations@cms.hhs.gov.
